Race Concept & Dates

There are 6 virtual races in February, April, June, August, October and December and in each race, there are top 5 men’s and women’s finishers in 5KM and 10KM. Podium finishers must attain a minimum one point in each race and negative points will not qualify for podium prizes regardless of overall position.

Runners can choose to sign up for all six races or one race of that month. Anyone can opt for 5KM and 10KM in a race but different email address for each distance must be provided for the setup of the tracker app one week prior to the scheduled run. Notification will be sent via email and the few steps required to claim your profile and download onto the mobile are self-explanatory. Results will be determined after completion of each race of that month.

Sportsplits Timing App

This race is timed by the event’s official timekeeper, Sportsplits. Completion timing is only based on Sportsplits timing app provided to each participant prior to the race. Simple instructions on the steps to claim the app will also be provided. Other GPS run devices are not recognized for awarding of points for this challenge.

Awarding of Points

The formula to determine how points are awarded is based on the birth year of participant and with each ascending year, handicap is added. The completion time coupled with the handicap based on participant’s birth year will be NETT time where points are calculated & awarded accordingly. Results are based on completion time taken from Sportsplit app. For ease of understanding, the table on the awarding of points is appended here
